The Spring Trimester will begin on the week of March 9, 2009
New Microsoft Office Specialist class is forming NOW
The economy is tough and it is going to get tougher. According to the LA Times,
California unemployment rate is 9.3% and 9.9% for Los Angeles County.
If you are laid off or facing layoffs, what skills or credentials
do you have that will help you stand out from the crowd. CNN.com reports, having acronyms such as "MOS" behind your name really does help you to get noticed.
Roosevelt Community Adult School's IT Academy Program can help you
master the Micrsosoft Office applications and earn your Microsoft
Office Specialist (MOS) credentials.
Last trimester, we started our very first
Microsoft Office preparation class in Excel 2003, but it did not
turn out so well and it was
mostly due to personal and professional obligations of our enrolled
students which prevented them from fully concentrating on their
studies. As a result, we currently have no candidate who feels they are
ready to take the Microsoft Office Specialist test.
This time around, we want to design the most flexible and affordable
program for our working professionals and for those seeking retraining
or certification. We are going to combine course numbers 21-10-76 and 21-10-77 and we are going to offer multiple sections. You can see the details of our class by downloading our flyer/survey.
In order for us to offer these classes, we need to have a minimum of 21 interested students
for each time slot and we have to maintain an average weekly
attendance of 21 students in order for the class to remain open. If you
are interested, please fax the survey form back immediately so we can
tally the results. Tell all your friends about this.
There is one thing that you have to
remember about our program. Our instructors are also MOS certified.
Other schools or training centers do not have MOS certified
instructors.
